DCHA Futurity & Open Show

Dodge County Horseman’s Association
August 2nd 2009 Benefit Stallion Service Auction Futurity & Open Show

Sunday August 2nd dawned bright and sunny, making it perfect “horse show” day. Many thanks to our judge Karla Kegley - she did an outstanding job of judging and keeping the show going in a timely manner. The Benefit Stallion Service Auction Weanling Futurity class had 12 entries this year, and Judge Kegley commented on the quality of the colts & fillies entered.

Our Open show had something for everyone, English, Western, Driving, even Trail and In-Hand Trail. This was also a Wisconsin State Horse Council Championship Challenge approved show. Our 2009 Benefit SSA Beneficiary Rose George was also on hand to be one of our “gate operators” for the day.

The Benefit SSA Futurity & Show committee would like to say Many Thanks to all the stallion and mare owners who participate in our Futurity Program. For the last ten years we have made a difference in many peoples’ lives with your help. Thanks to the Wisconsin State Horse Council for their generous donation, and to Landmark Services Co-op who donated 2 bags of feed to the Futurity winners. Finally, a huge thank you to all our show volunteers who lent a hand to make the day a success.

Sincerely,
Lori Helmer
